Interview with Mr. and Mrs. Michel, owner of Domaine de Bel Air

Thanks to the distinction of a gold medal at the prestigious Orange Wine Competition, which recognizes the best Côtes du Rhône, the wine of the Domaine de Bel Air is drawing a lot of praise. Spotlight on a great Cotes du Rhone determined to stand out!

What are the characteristics of your red medal Cotes du Rhone Cuvée ?

Well, this Cotes du Rhone is a reflection of our perseverance and our strong character. Full-bodied, complex scents evoke spices and a dark garnet robe announces its tannic character. This wine gets better with time.

Why did you chose the ATHENA BURGUNDY?

Because my husband and I wanted to find a container equal to this wine’s originality. We wanted to offer consumers a product with a very special character.

Moreover, we only sell the results of our wine production at the vineyard and most of the time after a wine tasting. For us, this Cotes du Rhone had to find a bottle equal to its character.

The BOURGOGNE ATHENA and its square ring seemed sufficiently well-groomed and virile to host a wine of this caliber. Only the label adds a touch of modernity and femininity with the few orange touches.

What is special about the Bel Air domaine?

I'd say it's our passion for painting. My husband and I are art lovers. So we regularly turn the cellar into a gallery. We decided to go further with this vintage medalist by offering two bottle wraps to our customers.

Indeed, some of the bottles feature an engraving by artist Claude Verdier (1932-1987). Isn’t wine also an expression of color and creativity?
